Blizzard Entertainment went through a lot of hoops to launch Overwatch 2 this year and it's still not done fixing the game. However, while the free-to-play shooter sequel continues to be a massive headache for the development team, light can already be seen at the end of the tunnel. Because, despite the issues, Overwatch 2 has already attracted 25 million players in its first 10 days.

Blizzard revealed Overwatch 2's monumental achievement on Twitter and it used the "mind-blown" emoji to describe what just happened.

According to Blizzard, Overwatch 2's audience is spread "near-even" across multiple regions and it's already tripling the record daily peak numbers of the original Overwatch. In addition to this, the dev team revealed that the latest Overwatch 2 hero, Kiriko, has proven to be very popular among players. But, of course, there's this caveat that Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play game. Not to mention, Blizzard removed the "SMS Protect" feature, which opened up the game to cheaters.

Hopefully, Blizzard can keep up Overwatch 2's current level of success while fixing its bugs, and issues, as well as minimizing its cheating problem.
