Blizzard's World of Warcraft Twitch Drop promotion allows players to unlock the exclusive Blazing Hippogryph mount and Ethereal Portal Toy by watching approved streamers from May 9 to May 17.

Aside from meeting the minimum-required watch hours, you'll need to link your Battle.net account and Twitch account to claim the freebies.

The ongoing Twitch drop campaign is part of Blizzard's promotion as part of the release of the 10.1 patch, Embers of Neltharion, for the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight update. This major patch will add a new raid to World of Warcraft and a dragon-riding zone. It will also mark the start of new Mythic+ and PvP seasons as well as the arrival of cross-faction guilds.

According to the content roadmap for World of Warcraft, Embers of Neltharion is the first of the two major updates that are planned for this year.

The Blazing Hippgropyh and Ethereal Portal currently cost $2,000 and $300, respectively, on eBay. The steep price is the direct result of the exclusivity of the said in-game items. Both were available only as part of the now-non-existence World of Warcraft Trading Card Game that went belly up in 2013.

World of Warcraft has consistently been one of Blizzard's most popular draws for the better part of the past two decades. However, this doesn't mean that the studio has forgotten its "older" entries. Earlier this year, Blizzard hinted that

after botching the initial launch in 2020.
