On June 2, Blizzard Entertainment's mobile video game Diablo Immortal will clock one. A few days later, the studio will also release the next mainline title in the series, Diablo IV – a game they are confident will launch smoothly and without hassle. To celebrate both events, Blizzard has announced a Diablo IV Launch Celebration x Diablo Immortal event and several new features for the game.
Blizzard announced this development via a blog post. In the post, the game company appreciated the fans for their loyal support. It then stated that, in honor of these fans, there will be "a bloody wave of new additions" to the game "over the next two months."
While Blizzard's blog post didn't provide in-depth details about its plans, it did provide some insight. The company intends to introduce a new Zone and a new Class into the game to commemorate Diablo Immortal's anniversary. It also promised to reveal more information on the items in the future.
The first features to arrive in the game are the Merciless Monstrosity event, Children of Lilith Battle Pass, and Hatred's Heritage Phantom Market. All of these will arrive in early June presumably around Diablo Immortal's anniversary and Diablo IV launch. According to Blizzard, they will be "experienceable expressions of Sanctuary's matriarch [Lilith]."
