The third season of Sea of Thieves is currently underway and it's a big one.
The update, A Pirate's Life, introduces characters and storylines straight out of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise by Disney. Naturally, this includes the addition of the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow (emphasis on that Captain), as well as his legendary pirate ship, the Black Pearl.
However, while the Black Pearl is indeed now in Sea of Thieves, it won't go by its original name. Rather, the Black Pearl will be known as the Eternal Freedom in Sea of Thieves. But, make no mistake, it is the very same ship that's been described as "the only ship that can outrun the Dutchman."
