The joint Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021 was the highlight of what was an otherwise lackluster online-only event.

All eyes were on Microsoft and Bethesda to talk a lot about upcoming titles, especially now that Microsoft officially owns ZeniMax Media.

After confirming earlier this year that Microsoft will be releasing future Bethesda games as Xbox exclusives, the first of many Xbox-exclusive titles from Bethesda was announced at E3 2021 as Starfield was announced as an Xbox-exclusive title.

According to the game's Executive Producer, Todd Howard, Starfield is "kind of like" The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim in structure. Of course, the main difference is that Starfield will be set in space.

Bethesda Is Actually Apologizing For The Starfield Xbox Exclusivity

Starfield has been Bethesda's top priority for the past couple of years now, so fans are understandably excited. It also doesn't help quell excitement that The Elder Scrolls 6 is nowhere in sight. However, it's unfortunate that Starfield will be exclusive to the Xbox Series S/X. Pete Hines Apologies to PS5 Fans in GameSpot Interview Starfield is set to release in November 2022. The chances are low, but its terms about its exclusivity might change by then.
