It's believed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be the first entry in the long-running shooter franchise to receive two years' worth of support. Because of this, fans wonder what kind of content we'll see in Year 2 of MW2. If we believe the rumors, Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward are planning to bring back classic Call of Duty maps as premium DLC for next year.
Both Tom Henderson and TheGhostofHope claim that the paid DLC will be a "greatest hits" map pack that includes fan-favorite Call of Duty maps. In addition, the latter claims that the next Call of Duty game will get remastered versions of a majority of the maps from the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which came out in 2009.
The wording of the leak is interesting. We can understand if Infinity Ward will bring back the maps from the original game. But, it appears the games by Treyarch and Sledgehammer are part of the bundle as well. If this is true, we're curious to see how well each map will work. Other Call of Duty maps are made for a unique title with different movements.
