Almost every DC fan knows that Jason Momoa was going to come back as Arthur Curry in an Aquaman sequel. The movie, titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, even has a December 16, 2022 release date already. However, what most don't know is what Aquaman 2 will look like, but this too will be answered with the first teaser for the next Aquaman film making its debut at DC FanDome 2021.
Momoa apologizes for the four-year wait for Aquaman 2
2018's Aquaman was a big deal. It wasn't just Aquaman's first feature film, but it also made history as the highest-grossing film based on a DC Comics character ever. With a $1.148 billion worldwide take, a sequel to the film was all but guaranteed.
Unfortunately, due to several factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take a little over four years for the next Aquaman movie to drop, which the film's star, Momoa, went ahead and apologized for in the first teaser for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
