Baldur’s Gate 3’s 300-plus bugs and glitches get a second hotfix

Over the weekend, Baldur's Gate 3 hit over 800,000 concurrent players on Steam – a number that surpassed our wildest expectations. Thank you for getting BG3 in the 10 most popular games of all time on Steam! It means the world to us, and we'll continue to read and watch everything over the coming weeks.

Larian Studios also detailed the list of bugs, technical issues, and glitches that were causing crashes and gameplay errors. This includes the unfortunate situation gnome sorcerer characters experienced with their clothing malfunctions:

That said, there's work to be done on the road to the PlayStation 5 launch on September 6, and we're busy working away on squashing some of the remaining bugs and issues that have come up since launch. We've got a new hotfix for you this week, addressing almost 300 crashes, blockers, and bugs. We saw a video floating around on the internet this week of… an unintentional gnome sorcerer wardrobe malfunction, and have kindly asked them to cover up while descending into the Underdark.

On that note, Larian Studios encourages Baldur's Gate 3 players to report any issues via their bug report page at the official website. Provide as much detail as possible (including what actions were being done prior to the glitch) and include a screenshot.

One thing that is not actually a glitch is the ability to flip switches with a ranged weapon. Just as with games like the MMO Dungeons & Dragons Online, players in Baldur's Gate 3 can use bows, crossbows, or thrown weapons to activate or deactivate switches from a distance. This is extremely useful for accomplishing this task at a safe position, particularly if you don't have a way to deal with potential traps.
