Assassin's Creed Codename Red could launch as early as 2024

On Wednesday, Access tweeted that a Ubisoft Business Development and Brand Partnership team member named Arisa Lagunzad had put out a call asking for partners who are interested in sponsoring the game to contact them. Lagunzad had hinted that the game will launch next year.

In their words, "We are seeking a sponsoring partner for this title Assassin's Creed Codename RED for next year." Lagunzad had also claimed that Ubisoft was expanding the franchise to include podcasts and manga series and had dubbed it "the biggest blockbuster for 2024.

We should mention that we can't verify the veracity of this claim. But, if true, we expect Ubisoft to make it official soon and maybe accompany it with a new trailer. Right now, we only have that one very short trailer, released last year, that shows next to nothing of the game.

Assassin's Creed fans have wanted a version of the game set in Japan for a very long time. Last year, when Ubisoft announced that such a game was in the works, it was to the delight of many gamers. If the game were to arrive as early as next year, then the company will well and truly have granted the fervent wish of many Assassin's Creed fans.

Of the four games that Ubisoft has unveiled, Assassin's Creed Mirage is the only one with a concrete release date. Recently, the studio released a new trailer that shined a spotlight on the game's main character Basim.

Another of the games, Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, began accepting registration for a closed beta last month, which makes us believe that it is also not far away from release.
