The release of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubiconis just a few weeks away, and now we now know how big the game files of the upcoming game will be on the PlayStation consoles, giving fans just enough time to clear some storage space - though luckily it isn't severe.

According to a report by PlayStationSize, the download size for Armored Core 6 will be 55.669 GB on the PS4 and 43.34 GB on the PS5. It looks like gamers on the Sony consoles will not be forced to delete several games just to accommodate the upcoming FromSoftware title.

While the file size isn't massive like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it still isn't small. It would be right up the middle of what most gamers would deem as a reasonable size. The size difference between the platforms is interesting too, and a flip of what one might expect.

Interestingly, the Armored Core 6 will have a smaller download size for PS5. This is likely due to the console's Kraken compression technology which can reportedly shrink game file sizes by as much as 60% without it carrying any negative side effects.

For comparison, FromSoftware's multi-awarded action RPG Elden Ring also has a similar file size on Sony's current-gen console. However, Diablo 4 has a much larger 75 GB while Baldur's Gate 3 is expected to be somewhere in the region of 122 GB when it arrives on the PS5.
