Fans are really excited about the launch of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The upcoming mecha game arrives at the end of the month and while it won't be using Denuvo DRM, it will be using two other DRMs for protection.
According to the game's Steam store page, Armored Core 6 will feature two DRMs when it launches on PC. Gamers may be wondering why the game would need that much protection from third-party tools.
FromSoftware revealed that the upcoming Mecha game will use both Arxan and Easy Anti-Cheat software. Both of the said DRMs need to be enabled to play Armored Core 6 since the gamehas online multiplayer.
DRM or Digital Rights Management tools are used by game developers to protect against unauthorized access to the software and prevent any attempt at copying or modifying a game's files. Arxan is an anti-tampering tool that has been used in AAA titles such as the Call of Duty series, GTA 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Fires of Rubicon will also be employing the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system. EAC has been used in FromSoftware's Elden Ring, as well as other popular titles like Fortnite, Fall Guys, Apex Legends, and Dead By Daylight. The software is one of the most commonly used anti-cheat systems for online multiplayer games.
