It seems that the GPU issues in Starfield keep adding up as the latest reports claim that the sun is failing to render on AMD graphics cards.

Over the past few days, players have noticed that the sun is missing during the daytime hours on certain planets. Many shared their findings on Reddit, stating that the daylight is visible while on the planet's surface but the sun or star emitting the light is nowhere to be found.

Apparently, the issue isn't isolated to AMD graphics cards. PC gamers using older RTX-20 series and earlier GTX series cards suffer from the same issues as newer generation AMD cards.

Interestingly, Xbox users have not reported that stars are missing when playing the game on consoles. The Series X/S are powered by AMD's RDNA 2 GPUs but it seems that the issue is limited to PCs at this point.

The missing sun glitch has been reported by gamers on AMD and older Nvidia series cards.

AMD has reportedly been in touch with PC Gamer and said that the company is aware of the issue. Unfortunately, the hardware maker doesn't have an update as to when a patch for the issue or if it has already found a solution to the problem. Nvidia has not yet responded to the issue on its older GPUs.
