Given how fast and easy information can spread today, leaks and rumors are everywhere all the time. Whether or not these are true is subject to interpretation unless otherwise confirmed. Every so often, someone with a reputable history comes in with a slew of details that are as close to a confirmation as anyone can get.
A good example of this is the Scandinavian website, Gamereactor.
In the summer of 2020, Gamereactor posted several leaks about upcoming games. Back then, most people had very little reason to believe what they were saying. Fast forward to today and the majority of their leaks came true. In fact, Gamereactor leaked Housemarque's Returnal, Avalanche Software's Hogwarts: Legacy, as well as the setting of Resident Evil Village, the Demon's Soul Remake, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
As a matter of fact, the only thing that hasn't come been confirmed yet from Gamereactor's list of "secret games" is a Silent Hill reboot. With such a high success rate, it's only safe to say that Gamereactor's credibility is solid, which is why we're inclined to believe yet another set of leaks regarding new and upcoming games.
