The common phrase goes, "When one door closes, another one opens." However, the exact opposite happened to Adam Devine lately. After Peacock renewed his streaming series and Pitch Perfect spin-off, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Paramount+ canceled the Workaholics film starring him and his "best friends", Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck.
Devine penned an extremely long post on Instagram where he revealed how devasted he is about the cancelation (he used the term "loosest butthole" to refer to the news). However, all hope isn't lost for the now-canned film.
According to Devine, the foursome are in the process of shopping the spinoff movie around to other streamers. Considering that they were ready to start production in a few weeks, we might hear see a positive (or negative) development sooner rather than later.
The Comedy Central situational comedy series aired from 2011 to 2017 and starred the said foursome as college dropouts working for a telemarketing company. The show frequently had cameos from other celebrities and was largely considered a hit, running for seven relatively successful seasons before it ended.
