It appears that Infinity Ward is preparing for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal. A few months ago, Activision confirmed that the sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare is coming this year, but we haven't heard much about the project outside of leaks and rumors. This isn't to say that the upcoming information comes from official sources, but it does follow up on Infinity Ward's social media blackout.

Over the past weekend, eagle-eyed observers noticed that Infinity Ward had removed all posts on its Instagram account and updated its Twitter to show a teaser image with the fan-favorite character, Ghost, hiding under a flight of stairs.

We've known since December that the next Call of Duty game will bring back the original voice actor for Ghost, and this pretty much confirms that. But, that's not all.

In addition to teasing a full reveal, a prominent Call of Duty insider, RalphsValve, went on Twitter to announce that Activision had invited influencers and residents around South California to test out Modern Warfare 2 as early as this week. Of course, since we live in a day and age where people break NDAs all the time, many believe that Infinity Ward will go ahead and reveal more of the upcoming game so that they don't have to worry about information leaking anymore.
