Unfortunately, the earlier leak that A Plague Tale: Requiem will come out on June 17 wasn't true. The good news is that it wasn't far off.

The sequel to Asobo Studio's underrated 2019 title just got a release date alongside a new trailer.

The 12-minute exhibit gave Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio more time to show off the follow-up and it looks even more stunning than the first one. As was the case with the original game, one of gaming's most badass heroines, Amicia, is back alongside a more grown-up Hugo, her little brother.

This time around, Hugo can control his powers more as he's helping Amicia by revealing the locations of enemies, among others. Amicia also doesn't seem like she's the same girl that we saw in A Plague Tale: Innocence. For one, she's much more brutal with her use of the crossbow and dagger. Also, going back to Hugo, he seems to be more in tune with his ability to control rats as the trailer shows him sending a swarm of rats to devour enemies whole.
