Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon has been one of the longest-running Ubisoft franchises ever, however some recent installments have stumbled. Now, it looks like the studio may be busy working on a new installment for the popular tactical shooter series.
Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson claims that a new Ghost Recon game codenamed Project Over is in development. The insider also said that he has heard great things about Assassin's Creed Project Red and Far Cry 7.
Ubisoft has a lot of good things in the works," Henderson tweeted. I've heard great things about AC Red, Far Cry 7, Project Over (Ghost Recon) etc. but games like S&B and BG&E2 are like a big rock in the middle of the road that they need to get rid of ASAP imo. Too many resources are being spent."
Henderson has been a reliable source of insider information on upcoming games for years now. He has occasionally been off the mark in some of his predictions but is still highly regarded within the gaming community.
Unfortunately for fans, Henderson did not give further details about the new Ghost Recon game. The insider previously said that the game is scheduled for release in 2025. Ghost Recon Breakpoint was one of the latest titles in the series, and was panned by critics. Many reviewers pointed out the underwhelming gameplay mechanics and missions of the game.
