Marvel insider Daniel Richtman suggests that Marvel’s confidence in the upcoming Deadpool threequel is so high that the studio opted not to delay its release beyond 2024. Reportedly, the movie plays a crucial role in the Multiverse Saga, laying the groundwork for future releases, including the much-anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars.

Deadpool 3 was already a must-watch film even before the other MCU movies were delayed out of 2024 because of the Hollywood strikes. The recent leak from Richtman only reinforces this.
How Deadpool 3 can set up Avengers: Secret Wars
One popular theory going around right now is that Deadpool’s time-traveling escapades will have huge implications for the Multiverse Saga. The Merc with a Mouth will reportedly be going around the Multiverse to find the perfect version of Wolverine. However, he will come to the conclusion that Hugh Jackman’s Logan is the best one in the universe and brings him to the MCU.
Throughout his travels, he will encounter various other heroes from the X-Men and other variants of Marvel characters. According to the theory shared by insider KC Walsh, realities within the Multiverse are collapsing due to the presence of Kang. The TVA, represented by Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius, will help recruit heroes into one universe to fight in the Secret Wars.

According to the insider, Deadpool 3 will have an ensemble cast and introduce new characters to the MCU. We think that Deadpool will be bringing in new recruits to fight the numerous variants of Kang in Secret Wars.
