Youtuber created a secret "insider" account to leak details secured under NDA

Dan was on good terms with Ubisoft and had received the details about the upcoming game directly from them. He signed an NDA but secretly leaked their information through his "insider" account, TheRealInsider. It didn't take long before people started noticing the connection between the two accounts, both of which have now been deleted.

This act not only hurts the developers and the publishers of the game but also other content creators who already have a good relationship with the publishers. This behavior might force stricter rules from the publishers, who could hesitate to give any information to Dan's peers in the same industry. The publishers will be much more careful now, hurting other creators.

After deleting his Twitter accounts, Dan uploaded a 5-minute apology video on his Youtube channel. In the video, not only does he confess to being TheRealInsider, but he also claims to be better in the future. The sad thing is that the damage has already been done, and no publishers will risk working with someone willing to break their NDA.

Following the incident, Ubisoft acknowledged this fiasco in a recent statement released by the company's spokesperson.

"We regularly provide access and information on our games under NDA to trusted partners. When that trust is compromised, or information is leaked by an individual, it's not only damaging and demoralizing to our teams, but it takes away from an exciting reveal moment and experience for our players. While we won't speak on an individual case, we do take these matters seriously and will manage accordingly."

They haven't mentioned Dan Allen Gaming directly, but it is apparent who they're referring to here. In any case, when a company trusts someone, there is an embargo set in place that is not meant to be broken.

Dan has also posted leaks about other games, such as Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid, but has denied and dismissed the leaks as fake. Interestingly, some reliable leakers have also been talking about these games. It is possible that Dan used the information posted by other insiders and stated it as his own. Given his original AC leak's hype, everyone also believed his other leaks.
