Ubisoft's Call of Duty-killer is finally getting a summer release window and players won't have to wait long to start playing the upcoming first-person shooter.
XDefiant has been hyped by fansas a worthy challenger to Call of Duty's dominance in the first-person shooter genre. So far, players has had extremely positive comments about the upcoming game during its closed beta period.
During the recently concluded Ubisoft Forward, executive producer Mark Rubin announced that XDefiant is launching "later this summer." Players will also be getting a chance to play the upcoming title before it releases. Ubisoft revealed that an open beta test will be happening from June 21-23 to stress test the game's servers and debut the improvements from the closed beta.
The open beta will feature crossplay between PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Ubisoft released a registration link for players interested in participating in the upcoming playtest period.
We received a lot of great feedback from our players after the end of our Closed Beta," XDefiant creative director Safy Saada said. "And for the Open Session, we'll likely see some new faction balancing (particularly for Libertad) based on player feedback, as well as weapon balancing based on data we've collected from the Closed Beta."
