We're already in the 2020s and Microsoft, as well as Sony, still think that their consoles can get by with measly amounts of storage space. At just 1TB and 825GB, the Xbox Series X and PS5, respectively, can't store that many games. The worst part is that both Sony and Microsoft have made it difficult and expensive to expand the storage on their consoles. However, Microsoft appears to have a more affordable solution.
According to retail promos leaked earlier this week, a 512GB expansion card from Seagate for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is going to release soon.
Are the 512GB Xbox Series X expansion cards confirmed?
Microsoft has not confirmed that the more affordable Xbox Series X expansion cards are coming, but the retail promo spotted by Windows Central looks legit. In addition to the standard 512GB SSD for the Xbox Series X/S, the retail promo also shows an external SSD coming. However, there was no pricing information available for both the former and the latter.
