We've got good news for Nintendo fans, the company will hold Nintendo Direct showcase before the month ends.
As per the earlier leaks, Nintendo's next Direct showcase will center around third-party titles that are coming to its best-selling hybrid console platform. So, if we read that right, you will not hear anything that's related to Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, or even Metroid, as well as the company's other numerous franchises. But, don't worry, it's not like the Switch is running out of ports of popular games that are headed its way.
According to Nintendo, the next Nintendo Direct Mini will take place on June 28 at 9:00 AM ET or 6:00 AM PDT.
The Nintendo Direct Mini is a shorter version of the much larger Nintendo Direct showcase. Typically, these focus on smaller releases but will feature a mix of first-party and third-party projects. However, in 2020, Nintendo spiced things up by introducing the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. This exhibition shone the spotlight on the company's developing and publishing partners. But, after four such events held during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nintendo scrapped the show altogether. Many took this as a sign that Nintendo abandoned the idea of the Partner Showcase.
