Nintendo Switch owners just can't catch a break. Or, at least, their wallets can't. Just weeks after The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom came out and made them spend $70 on what's easily the best game of the year, Nintendo goes ahead and releases a new line of Joy-Con controllers.

The new pastel range of Joy-Con controllers adds a soothing, soft color palette to the Switch accessory lineup - pastel pink, yellow, purple, and green - will come out on June 30, just in time to infuse a splash of summer vibrancy into your gaming sessions.

The controllers are available for pre-order now, with an MSRP of $80 in the United States. Nintendo is selling them in pairs: Pink/Yellow or Purple/Green.

Similar to the OG Joy-Cons, the pastel-colored ones come with the standard black Joy-Con straps and will feature the same familiar built-in technology. However, this new range is believed to be the first set of Joy-Cons not tied to a special limited edition release, making them a fresh addition to the existing lineup.
