October is infamous for its Halloween and horror-themed experiences, including movies and television shows. Marvel Studios has decided to throw its hat into the ring and re-release its horror special Werewolf by Night. The show, which first came out last October, will arrive on Disney+ on October 20. Even better, the re-release will be in color, unlike the original special which was in monochrome.

When it came out last year, it was well-received by critics who had nothing but good things to say about its black-and-white cinematography, performances, and directing, among others.

Its black-and-white cinematography was especially eye-catching because it gave off similar vibes to the classic Universal Monsters films that were popular in the early decades of the 20th century. Many people even went as far as touting it as the perfect Halloween show.

Because of this, we find Marvel's decision to release it in color a bit puzzling. At the same time, we're excited to see how much difference color will make to the show's experience and can't wait to see it when it arrives.

Werewolf by Night is based on a Marvel Comics character of the same name. The horror special tells the story of Jack Russell, a hypocritical monster who hunts other monstrosities for a living.

The original Werewolf by Night was in black-and-white but Disney is releasing a colored version this October.
