We get our first glimpse of Ahsoka in the Disney+ teaser for 2023

This is the first time that we see a profile shot of Dawson as the Togruta Jedi Ahsoka for the series. Earlier this year, early footage from the upcoming series was shown at the Star Wars Celebration event. However, the video showed only the back side of Ahsoka and Hera Syndulla. What we know about the Ahsoka TV series Rosario Dawson will be reprising her role as Ahsoka.

The plot details for Ahsoka have been kept under wraps over at Lucasfilm. We can speculate that she is on a quest to find and defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Thrawn was a major antagonist in Star Wars Rebels and commander of the Seventh Fleet. Ahsoka mentioned that she was hunting down the Grand Admiral during her duel with Morgan Elsbeth in The Mandalorian.

Toward the end of Star Wars Rebels, Thrawn and Ezra Bridger disappeared into hyperspace as they fought on the Chimaera I-Class Star Destroyer. Ahsoka's hunt for Thrawn may mean that Ezra also survived the battle aboard the ship.

Dave Filoni will be leading the Ahsoka TV series as writer and showrunner. Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy will be producing the show alongside Filoni.

Academy Award-winning director Peter Ramsey will be directing at least one episode of the series. Ramsay won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature as the director for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker for the TV series. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will portray Sabine Wren in the upcoming Disney+ series. Eman Esfandi will be playing Ezra Bridger in the show.

Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2023.
