More than three months and nearly two billion dollars made at the global box office later, Spider-Man: No Way Home is finally, well, headed home. Because Disney didn't release No Way Home on digital platforms, fans have had to wait for a while to see the movie right from the comforts of their couch. Now, it's finally happening, and Disney is celebrating this by releasing the first 10 minutes of the film online.
The opening 10 minutes of No Way Home are available online to watch, completely free. This part of No Way Home picks up exactly where 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home left off as Tom Holland's young webhead was in for the shock of his life as Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio outed his secret identity to the rest of the world. A lot of things happen this early on in the nearly-three-hour movie, including the cameo of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock - a sign of what's to come.
2021 was a big year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After bowing out of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MCU saw four big movies released in relatively quick succession. Although Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as Eternals, all made more their production budget, No Way Home netted more than all three movies combined.
No Way Home has made $1.85 billion at the global box office, which is good enough for sixth-place all time. In addition, Holland's Spider-Man threequel topped Avatar at the domestic box office too, a feat made even more impressive when you consider that it was released during the COVID-19 pandemic. But, if you thought that Sony's highest-grossing movie ever had tons of content, the Blu-ray release is going to up the ante.
