Sledgehammer Games can't seem to catch a break. After releasing Call of Duty: Vanguard in late 2021, the returning Call of Duty devs - Sledgehammer skipped a year in Activision's cycle following 2017's Call of Duty: WWII - has been the subject of much criticism. Case in point, angry players are now describing the latest Battle Pass as a "low effort" offering that's severely lacking anything of noteworthy value.

One player, 'Chillenge', went on Reddit to blast Sledgehammer for a lackluster Battle Pass. Furthermore, the user worries that this trend will become the norm for future Battle Passes. Of course, this is against Activision Blizzard's best interests. The publisher loses revenue the fewer people that buy a Battle Pass for Call of Duty. But, Activision Blizzard needs to do something to make the Battle Pass enticing, to which Chillenge makes a handful of important points.

Specifically, Chillenge listed everything that they felt that was lacking or wrong in Vanguard's Season 2 Battle Pass, such as: 25 Tiers worth of Double XP tokens. 18 Tiers worth of Weapon Blueprints, but only 9 Legendary ones. 10 Tiers worth of Emblems. 8 Tiers worth of Callings Cards. 6 Tiers worth of Charms. https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/comments/swv17x/incredibly_low_effort_on_the_battle_pass_rewards/
