During a recent interview with the French publication, La Presse, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot made a statement suggesting that the toxicity plaguing his company over the past two years is inescapable. When asked if he believed that the toxicity issues within the company were resolved, Guillemot responded that the company had implemented a few policies to address any problem that may have occurred.

However, when he was questioned as to why other parts of the game development industry seem to suffer similar toxicity problems as Ubisoft, Guillemot responded that toxic behavior in the industry are a result of the complexity of creating video games, and friction in the creative process.

The response did not go down well with many people who considered it tasteless, especially given the issues Ubisoft has faced over the past two years.
