It's been some time since we had a Transformers movie, after Bumblebee came out in 2018. The "prequel" was effectively a reboot of the entire Transformers cinematic universe. But, while it was a solo adventure, the next Transformers film won't be.
Paramount Pictures confirmed Transformers: Rise of the Beasts as the seventh installment of the Transformers franchise. The film will be a sequel to Bumblebee and will be set in 1994, seven years after the events of the previous movie.
Rise of the Beasts will borrow elements from the Beastwars storyline featuring the factions: Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons. Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback will lead the cast as Noah and Elena, respectively. Peter Cullen is returning to voice Optimus Prime while Ron Perlman will be the voice actor for Optimus Primal.
Steven Caple Jr., the director of Transformers: Rise of the Beast, recently revealed in an Instagram post that Pete Davidson and Michelle Yeoh are joining cast of the movie. In the post, both actors were seen in the studio doing voice recording for the film.
