After 24 years of epic adventures in the anime, the Strawhat Pirates are finally setting sail in the live-action world. Netflix has just dropped the first trailer and announced the release date for the highly anticipated series.

Clocking in at one and a half minutes, the trailer kicks off with the fearless protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, with a passionate speech about his grand dream of becoming the pirate king as we get a glimpse of the crew's first ship, the Going Merry.

The excitement ramps up as we're introduced to some of the Strawhat Pirates, including the skilled swordsman Roronoa Zoro, the resourceful navigator Nami, the crew's cook, Vinsmoke Sanji, and the sharp-eyed marksman Usopp. The trailer also features some thrilling encounters with a menacing sea monster, and the infamous Buggy the Clown (in an appearance that can only be described as nightmare fuel).

Luffy and his loyal crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they embark on a journey across the Grand Line in search of the ultimate treasure, the One Piece, with the goal of becoming the next Pirate King.
