His iconic heel runs would later lead to personas referred to by fans as "Hollywood Rock" and "Corporate Rock", which many consider as his best runs in the WWE.

However, what the WWE and The Rock has been building up to these past few weeks could potentially threaten those versions of the Hollywood superstar while elevating the product's mainstream popularity even further - an overall positive for a company dealing with the controversies surrounding Vince McMahon, who officially stepped down in January.
