The Boys impressed us with its brand of superheroism (is that a real word?) and... the opposite when the first season premiered in July 2019. Since its debut, the show has seen huge support and love from fans and critics. Naturally, this translated to massive interest in everything The Boys related, and making spin-offs, like the upcoming Gen V, inevitable.
Later this month, a spinoff titled Gen V will arrive on Prime Video. Gen V is the second such spinoff from the show after an anthology animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical debuted last year. Both spinoffs form part of a shared universe that the show's creators are building.
From all indications, the shared universe will have crossovers with stars from The Boys appearing in the spinoff shows, including Gen V. Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in the universe, appears to be the latest candidate for this.
In a recent post, Entertainment Weekly shared an image of Jensen Ackles as he makes a "V" symbol with his fingers while fully decked in his costume. Although we do not have any official confirmation, we believe this hints at Soldier Boy's appearance in Gen V.
If this is true, it will make the character the latest The Boys star to appear in the young adult superhero show after Jessie T. Usher's A-Train, Chace Crawford's The Deep, and Claudia Doumit's Congresswoman Victoria Neuman.
