The Boys star Jensen Ackles will make a guest appearance on spin-off Gen V

Soldier Boy's appearance in Gen V raises a few questions, though, especially since the new show will take place between the events of The Boys seasons three and four. When Season 3 ended, Soldier Boy was put in a cryogenic state by the vigilante group the show is named after. Because of this, fans have wondered how the creators plan to explain the character's appearance in Gen V.

Since we don't have an answer to that question, we have given in to speculation and believe the options are limited. Soldier Boy's Gen V appearance can be the result of him escaping his captors, or in the form of a flashback. It could also be that the storyline somewhat incorporates him in his frozen state. Whatever the case may be, we will find out in due time.

Gen V is the first live-action spinoff of The Boys, and it promises a lot of action and suspense, much like the original show. The show continues The Boys' tradition of parodying other superhero characters and is set in the fictional Godolkin University, the equivalent of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters from the X-Men's Comics.

Like Xavier's School, Godolkin University caters to training superheroes and helping them to become the next big heroes. However, as those familiar with the series - and the comics it is based on - will probably guess, the results are quite different, and more gruesome.

The show follows Marie Moreau, a freshman at the university with the ability to manipulate and weaponize blood. As Moreau adapts to her new environment, she makes friends with some of her colleagues, including the size-reducing Emma Meyer, the metal bender Andre Anderson, the fire manipulator Luke Riordan, and the mind-pusher Cate Dunlap.

However, the group discovers a dark secret within the walls of the University, which puts their abilities to the test and has them question whether they are indeed heroes or villains. Gen V will debut on Prime Video on September 29. The streamer will release the show's first three episodes that day with the remaining five episodes arriving weekly thereafter.
