The ASUS ROG Ally has been touted as a rival to Valve's Steam Deck. But, as is always the case with these types of things, it all boils down to pricing. While a previous leak suggests that the top-spec ROG Ally is going to give the Steam Deck a lot of trouble, the price for the base variant isn't drawing as much praise.
The specs for the ASUS ROG Ally were recently leaked and fans are properly excited. However, the main issue is how much is ASUS going to charge gamers for this new handheld console.
Well, a new leak from SnoopyTech on Twitter reveals that the launch price for the base model ROG Ally will be $599.99. The base model is powered by an AMD Z1 chip and has 256GB NVMe M.2 internal SSD storage.
According to the leak, the high-end console powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme CPU will be priced at $699.99. For the extra $100, gamers will get an upgraded processor and double the internal storage. The ROG Ally reportedly has a maximum internal storage of 512GB.
