TennoCon 2023 unveils new Warframe updates and features, including cross save progression

Although crossplay between consoles and PC was added earlier this year, the absence of cross save progression functionality since the game's launch meant players were unable to pick up the game from where they left off if they chose to play it on a different platform. As of now, a precise launch date for this much-awaited feature remains undisclosed.

Digital Extremes' highly anticipated fantasy MMORPG, Soulframe, which was unveiled during last year's TennoCon, is currently in the active stages of development. Fans were treated to a 30-minute gameplay demo, during which the developers showcased Fey and Ode Tempest, two of the three perks offered by the Pacts feature that grants players the ability to transition between classes.

On top of that, an upcoming expansion named Whispers in the Walls is set for a winter release. Described as a "new story-driven cinematic quest," Whispers in the Walls will immerse players in a deadly clash between Albrecht Entrati and the enigmatic Man in the Wall.

Alongside this, the update will introduce a novel secondary weapon class: the otherworldly Grimoire, a previously unknown faction named the Murmur created by the Man in the Wall, and a reworked as well as expanded group of adversaries in the form of the Necramech faction.

In October, fans can eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Abyss of Dagath update, a new frame-focused update that will introduce Dagath, the 54th Warframe, with a new weapon. While Warframe designs have always pushed the envelope of weirdness, Dagath having a gaping hole instead of a face definitely takes things even further.

New seasonal content and quality-of-life upgrades, including an overhaul of Companions and a rework of the tidal plunderer Hydroid, Focus acquisition overhaul, the removal of the flawed mods and MK-1 weapons, and many more, will also be added.

Next year, another new expansion titled Warframe: 1999 that follows a mysterious man named Arthur on his quest to track down Dr. Entrati is scheduled to be released. Set in a retro future preceding the Old War, the upcoming expansion promises to shed more light on Excalibur, given the resemblance of Arthur's armor to the sword-themed Warframe.

Finally, those who prefer to play on mobile devices will be excited to learn that the Origin System will be coming to iOS next year. Preorders for the mobile version are live on the App Store, and players who secure their preorders prior to the official launch will be rewarded with the exclusive Bombyx Syandana along with a 3-Day Affinity Booster.
