Team Ninja's next game is coming to consoles, the PC, as well as the Game Pass, in early 2023.
The Nioh and Ninja Gaiden series developer revealed its latest project, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, at the recently concluded Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Unfortunately, we have zero other info about Wo Long outside of the fact that it sports the developer's usual style and aesthetics.
However, unlike Ninja Gaiden and Nioh, it appears that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will take inspiration from Chinese history and mythology.
The game's official description reads:
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms.
Of course, we know that all sorts of nasty creatures probably never really existed in China nor everywhere else for that matter. But, this hasn't stopped Team Ninja from letting their imaginations run wild before, so why should they do that now?
