Ever since Perry Mason made its television debut over six decades ago, the landscape of legal drama shows has seen a myriad of diverse, groundbreaking stories. However, amidst this sea of shows, one recent show has managed to shine the brightest, dominating the viewership records: Suits.

For three consecutive weeks, Suits, the American series aptly named after the legal dress code, has dominated Nielsen's streaming rankings.

The show that first premiered on USA Network garnered an impressive 3.7 billion minutes of viewership from July 3 to July 9, marking a remarkable 17% increase from the previous week's 3.1 billion minutes. This outstanding achievement sets a new record for Suits as the most-watched acquired programming within a week.

This remarkable feat now places Suits in an impressive 13th position on Nielsen's weekly viewing total in history, putting it in the league of acclaimed shows like Wednesday, Stranger Things, Ozark, and Tiger King. Interestingly, viewership has predominantly centered on the show's first season, which means there's a good chance that Suits will make the headlines once again with a new record.

Continuing the streak of successful legal dramas, The Lincoln Lawyer secured the second spot on the charts as viewers streamed 1.4 billion minutes of the first five episodes from Season 2 on Netflix.
