With player counts trailing behind both Skyrim and Fallout 4 on Steam, Starfield urgently needs an update, especially in the content department. As the year ends, Bethesda gave fans something to look forward to as it issues an End of Year Update for the space RPG, with a big drop coming in February.

In a new blog post on the game's official website, Bethesda states that Starfield will be getting an update every six weeks starting in February. The publisher also outlined what players can expect in the next year: City maps New ways to travel New ways to customize your ships New gameplay options to further adjust difficulty Official mod support with the launch of Creations Our first story expansion, Shattered Space Bethesda hasn't detailed which updates will be coming in February, but having a roadmap is a step in the right direction. The studio also shared that the updates will be coming first to the Steam Beta of Starfield before they roll out to everyone. It's an interesting choice given that most players are on the Xbox Game Pass.

Starfield will feature new ways to travel in the next updates.

The publisher also said that it has been listening to the feedback given by the community in crafting the features and quality-of-life changes coming to Starfield. One of the earliest criticisms of the game was the lack of a City map, something that will be addressed later.
