Any player who has experience with Bethesda games should be wholly unsurprised that Starfield will be getting a day-one patch. The upcoming update will reportedly fix gameplay issues and improve the performance of the upcoming Xbox and PC exclusive.

The details for the day-one patch have leaked online. Insider Gaming revealed the patch notes for the upcoming update which will be coming to Starfield before early access begins on September 1, making it more of a day zero patch. Reading through these notes, it looks like there are no game-breaking issues at launch. Starfield is reportedly the "least buggy" title in Bethesda's history.

The update is titled Starfield 1.7.23 and will include a number of gameplay fixes and reportedly improve the performance of the game. The patch will also add a virtual keyboard for gamers playing the upcoming space RPG on the Steam Deck. The upcoming patch will reportedly be 15 GB.

Insider Gaming also got hold of a document that discusses the compatibility of Starfield with handheld PCs. Starfield will run on both the Steam Deck and the ROG Ally with the correct drivers, but the hardware below the recommended minimum specs and performance may suffer," the document states.
