A new era is about to dawn in the world of Star Wars video games. Recently, Disney announced that EA no longer holds exclusive rights to produce officially licensed Star Wars games. This set off a string of leaks and rumors, including a new one that suggests Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch.

Many fans expected some kind of license reshuffling after EA didn't really do a whole lot with it. They still have the license, but so do others, including Ubisoft; confirmed to be working on a new open world title, and Aspyr; rumored to be making either a remaster of the classic KotOR, or an entirely new entry in the Old Republic series.

Separate from Aspyr's efforts is a new report that claims a port for Nintendo Switch of the two KotOR games is in the works. The leak, posted to /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/, indicates that the games will be upscaled versions of the mobile ports that were recently released.

If the source is correct, the ports will only be available digitally without any physical copies to be bought in stores. Unlike the mobile ports, however, the two titles will be lumped together and sold as one package, with an MSRP of $30. This seems about right for games of their age, despite how popular and ageless they are.
