We already know that Spider-Man: No Way Home is the biggest MCU film in a little over two years. It's the first MCU movie to feature several MCU staples in one movie, with Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Stephen Strange and Tom Holland's Spider-Man leading the way. Not to mention, the film will see several former Spider-Man adversaries make an appearance, as well as "unconfirmed" roles for previous Spider-Man actors, Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

However, it's difficult to get a sense of just how big of a deal No Way Home is due to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting movies these past two years.

While the ongoing pandemic still looms above everybody's heads, No Way Home just proved that audiences are ready to flock to theaters to get a chance to watch it. Case in point, the first day of Spider-Man: No Way Home ticket pre-sales has set the second-highest record in the history of the United States, falling just short of beating 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
