Once Sony released the PlayStation 5, it was only a matter of time before the electronics giant confirmed its next-generation VR hardware to go along with it. Now, a little over a year after the PS5 hit the market, Sony has finally shed some light on the PSVR's successor. To no one's surprise, Sony is naming the device PSVR 2.

We learned a lot about the PSVR 2 at Sony's latest press conference. For example, the tech giant revealed that the name of the controllers, Sense Controllers. Similar to DualSense, the Sense Controllers will offer features such as haptic feedback. Meanwhile, the PSVR 2 headset itself will come with an OLED display, with 2000 x 2040 per eye panel resolution and support 90Hz as well as 120Hz with a field of view of 110 degrees.
