Sony doesn't do Day One titles on the PlayStation Plus. At least, not most of the time. And, when they do, they're often smaller titles, unlike what Xbox does with the Game Pass that frequently welcomes the likes of Starfield, among others. But, don't let their lack of name recognition or AAA status fool you - the Day One titles on the PlayStation Plus are usually a banger.

Case in point, Teardown, a name that probably reminds you more of what happens when you leave toddlers alone and on their own, unsupervised.

Don't worry, worried parents. Teardown is a strategy beauty developed by Tuxedo Labs that basically tells dares you to make your own path in life, literally.

Initially launching on desktops with an impressive "80" Critic Score on Metacritic, Teardown allows players to plan out their ideal heist. Imagine a playground where everything, from the walls to that suspicious-looking garden gnome, is destructible. It's a world where you're armed not just with tools, but also with the power of imagination. Want to create a shortcut using explosives? Go for it! Fancy building a tower of cars? Why the heck not?

Now, such a PC sensation making its grand PlayStation 5 entrance is news in itself. But, in a twist fit for a heist movie, Teardown is set to debut as a part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on day one. This is like having your cake, eating it, and then discovering there's a second cake underneath. It's a delightful surprise especially for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.
