The official early access for Bethesda’s upcoming space ARPG will start on September 1. However, there will be gamers that will get to play the game on August 31.
Some fans who pre-ordered the Premium Edition or Premium Edition upgrade noticed that early access starts on August 31, a day earlier than what Bethesda said about the early access for Starfield.
Reddit users quickly pointed out that the time difference between regions will be at play here. Starfield will release on early access at midnight Eastern Time, which means that gamers living on the west coast will get a chance to play Starfield as early as 9:00 PM PDT on August 31.
However, gamers living on the other side of the world will get to access the game hours after midnight on September 1. To be more specific, players in the UK will have access at 5 AM BST while those living in Asia and Oceania will only get to play the title later in the afternoon.
Ultimately, it all boils down to which timezone a player belongs. In practice, everyone will get to access the game at the same time. This also applies to the standard release on September 6.
We do have to remind players that only the Premium Edition, Premium Edition upgrade, and Constellation Edition will get early access. If you plan on playing the title early on Xbox Game Pass, you will have to fork out $34.99 for the Premium Edition upgrade.
It’s worth noting that the Constellation Edition will not ship with a physical disc.
