Showrunner James Gunn provides Peacemaker season 2 update

While Gunn's comment reveals that the project is still alive, its release date will leave fans disappointed as it means that the show won't debut for, at the very least, another two years given that the Superman film he was referring to will arrive in July 2025.

Despite the disappointment, Gunn's comment is understandable given what will undoubtedly be a busy couple of years for him. Apart from his duties at the helm of DC Studios affairs, the filmmaker is responsible Superman: Legacy as both its writer and director.

In what comics and superhero fans will consider welcome news, Gunn recently revealed there have been conversations about a DC and Marvel crossover that will see characters from both universes feature in the same project(s). The writer and director also confirmed he still intends to work with Margot Robbie, who has played Harley Quinn in several DC projects, amidst a spate of sacks that includes Henry Cavill and Dwayne Johnson.
