Marvel Studios has unveiled its lineup of movies and TV shows for Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Two of the already confirmed movies that were conspicuously absent in the roadmap are Deadpool 3 and the sequel for Shang-Chi.
We already know that Deadpool 3 is in development and possibly started filming already. Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively shared a photo of Reynolds wearing this Deadpool costume recently. The Shang-Chi sequel, on the other hand, has had very little information to show for itself. We know that the sequel has been green-lit since December 21 following the spectacular box office showing of the first movie.
New rumors have possibly revealed that Shang-Chi 2 may be slated for release on February 14, 2025. The date seems very specific considering that it is two and a half years away. Other films in Phase 6 do not yet have an exact date - at least, not one that is publicly known.
The information about the Shang-Chi 2's release date came from Reddit courtesy of user MSSmods. According to the post, the date for the Shang-Chi sequel comes from a trusted source. The date matches the release of an Untitled Marvel Movie in the Winter / Spring of 2025. The unnamed project could be seen in the presentation by Kevin Feige during the SDCC.
