Roman Reigns may defend his title belt at Crown Jewel in November

There's considerable speculation surrounding this Saudi event, particularly regarding the WWE's foremost title belt. The Tribal Chief has put his championship belt on the line just once on TV since WrestleMania 39, with his subsequent duels being tag team bouts. This trend, combined with the fact that Reigns' Saudi match last year was a title bout against a surprisingly effective Logan Paul, fans are wondering if the WWE is looking to have The Head of the Table finally end his reign at the hands of a worthy superstar before the year ends.

The trajectory of Roman's recent matches has been filled with both highs and unexpected twists, revolving around The Bloodline storyline, for the most part.

Now that the stable is one man short and Solo Sikoa himself is teasing his eventual betrayal of Reigns, the WWE might finally want to get the wheels into motion.

With The Rock coming back to the WWE for the first time in nearly four years and confirming his interest in a making a dream match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 come true, the WWE can speed up the timeline of Cody Rhodes' eventual completion of his story by beating Roman Reigns.

While the identity of Reigns' opponent at Crown Jewel remains under wraps, there's no denying that it will be a major event, in line with his reputation for blockbuster title defenses. Yet, this limited appearance strategy isn't solely about preserving Reigns' allure as a part-time star attraction. Rumors have hinted that Reigns suffered a hip or back injury during his bout against Jey Uso in Detroit. If true, this could explain his reduced schedule. It's possible that WWE has been giving him the time he needs to heal, preserving his robust image and letting The Bloodline narrative develop without his immediate presence.

If nothing else, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and most important of all, Paul Heyman, have done an excellent job, although it's clear that Reigns' once-invincible aura has started to show its cracks.

Outside of Reigns and The Usos, the WWE has become an even bigger draw with an embarrassment of riches that it can explore. AJ Styles, once again, has become a significant player, with Jey Uso set to go on a babyface run. The Judgment Day has only gotten better in time while Solo Sikoa's success as a solo star is all but guaranteed at this point. With Drew McIntyre, LA Knight and GUNTHER all peaking at the right moment as well, the WWE will have no shortage of potential opponents to choose for Roman Reigns should he defend his title in November.

With marquee events like the Survivor Series in late November and the onset of the Royal Rumble season in January, it's only logical for WWE's most celebrated champion to make his mark. Unfortunately, Reigns' unpredictable schedule this year has made projecting his next moves quite challenging.

In the meantime, WWE has maintained momentum with the return of John Cena. However, once Reigns brings back the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, the programming direction could take an even more compelling turn.

It remains to be seen how Reigns will navigate the convoluted waters of family drama, fierce rivals, as well as potential injuries. What's certain, though, is that his next title defense, whenever it happens, will be a spectacle to behold.
