Rockstar Games has redesigned its website for better integration with more features, specifically Rockstar Social Club. It’s likely that this has something to do with the first GTA 6 trailer that’s coming in early December, which could be the start of a lengthy marketing campaign for the upcoming open-world action-adventure game that’s presumably coming out in 2025.

The bigger change to the Rockstar Games website is that it now allows visitors to filter queries based on categories such as games, posts, videos, and even usernames. This isn’t the first time Rockstar has used its website to hype the game. A decade ago, it did a countdown on its website ahead of the official GTA 5 reveal. Rockstar could be thinking of pulling a similar stunt but also different – the studio isn’t exactly known for rehashing things.

With the trailer poised to be released at The Game Awards on December 7 (or earlier or later, GTA 6 is a draw in and of itself), it only makes sense for Rockstar to start preparing itself for what’s likely going to be one of the biggest moments in gaming.

The official reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been a long time coming, even before last year’s leaks and official confirmation of its existence. Both Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar have done an excellent job keeping a tight lid on any detail regarding the game. Now that it’s finally ready to reveal it, it’s a sign that GTA 6’s release date isn’t too far off.

After reportedly spending over a billion and at least a decade in its development, the expectations for the next GTA title are sky-high. Judging from speculations about its graphics and reports about its use of an updated version of the RAGE engine, it should deliver on the visuals part. The only question is, how will its story fair? It’s presumed that it will be set in a modern-day version of Vice City with a dual protagonist system and the series’ first female playable lead.

Given the updated Rockstar Games website and incoming trailer reveal, we should be able to visit its individual page in the next few weeks.

Controversial loading screens are part of the GTA experience and we're expecting GTA 6 to have its fair share of them.

Whether or not The Game Awards will see GTA 6 make its initial trailer debut, the event itself is expected to draw plenty of viewers as it sees arguably the most stacked lineup of nominees up for the Game of the Year award in a long while as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur’s Gate 3, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Resident Evil 4, and Alan Wake 2, are all up for the award.
