Nevertheless, the confirmation that Rockstar will stick to using GTA VI is important. It's a sign that the next game is an evolution of the franchise - not a side adventure or a smaller game, meant to tide fans over.

This should put to rest the conspiracy theories from tinfoil-hat wearing internet mongers who believe that, somehow, a massive company like Rockstar will skip VI "like Apple and Windows skipped 9" because, apparently, "6 is an upside down 9" and that's a bad thing.
