Rockstar Games brings back GTA 5 to the Xbox Game Pass

Alongside the return of GTA 5, the Xbox Game Pass is also beefing up its July lineup with an assortment of enticing games. The action-RPG Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is joining GTA 5 in the July 5 launch, followed by a string of other games including McPixel 3, Common'hood, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Exoprimal, Techtonica, and The Cave. While the attention will undoubtedly gravitate towards GTA 5, these additions serve to diversify the offerings of the Game Pass and cater to a broader range of gaming tastes.

However, it's not all rainbows and sunshine for Game Pass subscribers. As of July 6, the Game Pass Ultimate subscription's price is set to increase from $15 to $17, with the standard subscription also seeing a $1 increase from $10 to $11.

It's been a while since the rumor mill has churned out information about GTA, specifically, the next entry in the franchise. But, the word on the grapevine is that Rockstar hasn't completely forgotten about its other best-selling titles. Case in point, we're hearing talks that Rockstar will announce a Red Dead Redemption remaster next week.

It's worth noting that this might be the same project that was reportedly canceled, alongside a remaster of GTA 4, so that Rockstar can focus on GTA 6 following the fallout from the still-bugged GTA trilogy.

If the rumors hold true, this implies that Rockstar is confident enough in the state of its ongoing projects that it's willing to spread itself out more.
