Randy Orton apparently turned Elden Ring into a pay-to-win game

With so many things to do and monsters to take out, Elden Ring can overwhelm you, even if you're someone who used to be youngest heavyweight champion in WWE history.

However, where others will throw their controllers to their walls in frustration or put down their controllers and quit the game, Elden Ring did something that us mortals probably cannot afford to do - pay someone a grand to grind Elden Ring for him.

As pointed out by u/u/thedman0310_ on Reddit, The InsiderZ, a wrestling-themed Twitch channel hosted by former the WWE talents, Brennan Williams and Mansoor Al-Shehail, revealed in a recent broadcast how Randy Orton told them a story of how he paid someone $1,000 to give him "unlimited runes" and basically max out his Tarnished for him.

On one hand, it does trivialize Orton's "love" for Elden Ring, which earned him even more fans than he already is. On the other hand, if you had a chance, wouldn't you do the same?

Elden Ring came out in February 2022 when Orton was on the road as part of the RK-Bro duo with Matt Riddle. Between rest, practices, rehearsals and keeping himself in shape, you can't blame Orton for wanting to get something and not having to "git gud" to get it - he's already paid his dues in other ways. Besides, when you're worth as much as he is and get paid $4 million every year, a grand is a drop in the bucket. The best part is that you get to make someone else happy by paying them to have fun. It's a win win.

Hopefully, when the time comes that Shadow of the Erdtree rolls around, Randy Orton raffles off his money and gives everyone a fair shot at powerleveling his character in Elden Ring for him.

Speaking of Randy Orton, the third-generation WWE superstar has spent the past year recovering from a real-life injury. The WWE is reportedly taking every necessary precaution before putting him back inside the ring. It's believed Orton is itching to get in on the action as soon as possible. It's rumored that Orton can return as early as in November at Crown Jewel.
